Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant/Support Worker to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to individuals in care homes or within their own homes. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the wellbeing and independence of service users, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times. Previous experience in care settings is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. Responsibilities
- Assisting service users with daily activities such as personal care, mobility, and medication reminders
- Supporting individuals with their care plans to ensure personalised and effective care delivery
- Providing companionship and emotional support to enhance mental wellbeing
- Assisting with domestic tasks including light cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided using IT systems and documentation tools
- Communicating effectively with colleagues, service users, and their families to ensure clear understanding of needs and preferences
- Driving or travelling between different locations if required, ensuring timely support for home care clients
- Adhering to health and safety policies, including infection control procedures
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care support is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to use basic IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for supporting home visits or travelling between locations
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to follow care plans accurately
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support others’ wellbeing
- Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating patience, empathy, and professionalism

Pay: £29,300.00-£34,484.24 per year
