Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of traditional South Indian dishes, ensuring authentic flavors and presentation
- Supervise food production processes to maintain consistency, quality, and safety standards
- Manage kitchen operations, including inventory control, ingredient sourcing, and cleanliness protocols
- Lead and motivate kitchen staff, providing guidance on food preparation, cooking techniques, and service standards
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene practices at all times
- Collaborate with restaurant management to develop new menu items that highlight South Indian cuisine
- Oversee serving procedures to ensure timely delivery of high-quality dishes to guests
Qualifications
- Proven experience in South Indian cuisine with a strong culinary background in traditional recipes
- Supervising experience within a busy kitchen or restaurant environment
- Demonstrated skills in food preparation, cooking, and presentation specific to South Indian dishes
- Leadership qualities with the ability to manage a team effectively and foster a positive work environment
- Extensive kitchen experience with knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations
- Prior hospitality or restaurant experience is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
