Job Overview
Due to our continued success, we are seeking a dynamic and proactive Deputy Operations Manager to join our team and help drive operational excellence across our organization, and optimize manufacturing performance across both our UK and European Facilities. In this pivotal role, you will support the overall management of daily operations, oversee team performance, and ensure that all activities align with our strategic goals. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering a collaborative environment, optimizing workflows, and maintaining high standards of service delivery. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with strong supervisory skills, management experience, and a passion for operational efficiency. This is a hands on role.
Responsibilities Across 2 Sites
- Assist the Operations Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing daily operational activities to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality service.
- Supervise team members across various departments, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to promote a motivated and productive workforce.
- Direct line-management of site production managers and team leaders.
- Assist in managing multi-site operational budgets and CAPEX projects.
- Analyse production costs to identify cost-saving initiatives.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure steady raw material supply.
- Enforce UK (HSE) and European safety regulations across facilities.
- Assist and oversee daily production outputs across UK and European manufacturing sites.
- Support human resources functions including recruitment, onboarding, training, and addressing employee concerns to maintain a positive workplace culture.
- Monitor compliance with organizational policies, safety regulations, and industry standards to uphold operational integrity.
- Prepare reports on operational performance metrics and assist in implementing process improvements based on data analysis.
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting and implement preventive systems on the shopfloor to eliminate operational bottlenecks and maintain uninterrupted manufacturing workflows.
Experience
- Proven experience in a management role within a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience managing operations across multiple sites.
- Proven troubleshooting and hands on experience.
- Deep understanding of UK and EU manufacturing regulations and compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while fostering a collaborative work atmosphere.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with team members, stakeholders, and external partners confidently.
- Willingness to travel across UK and European sites as required.

The salary will be £45,000-£50,000 per annum, dependant upon experience.
