Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting dentists during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental practice. This position requires excellent organisational skills, effective communication abilities, and proficiency systems relevant to dental care.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Provide exceptional patient care by reassuring patients, explaining procedures, and addressing any concerns they may have.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans, using appropriate IT systems.
- Ensure the dental surgery is clean and well-organised before, during, and after procedures to comply with health and safety regulations.
- Sterilise instruments and manage inventory of dental supplies to ensure the practice is well-stocked at all times.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote overall dental health.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a seamless workflow within the practice.
Qualifications
- Qualified Dental Nurse with relevant certification or diploma.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Familiarity with IT systems used in dental practices is an advantage.
- A compassionate approach to patient care with a strong emphasis on empathy and understanding.
- Previous experience in a dental setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
