Head Bartender
Rushton Hall Hotel & Spa is one of Northamptonshire's most prestigious luxury destinations, combining outstanding hospitality, fine dining, and exceptional guest experiences within a beautiful Grade I listed country house hotel.
We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and charismatic Head Bartender to lead our bar team which can at times operate across 3 separate bars within the Hotel and deliver memorable service to hotel guests, spa visitors, wedding parties, and corporate clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the hotel bar.
- Lead, motivate, train, and develop a team of bartenders and bar staff.
- Create and maintain an exceptional guest experience at all times.
- Develop cocktail menus and seasonal beverage offerings.
- Ensure high standards of service, presentation, cleanliness, and compliance.
- Report and support to the Restaurant Manager
- Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships in conjunction with the Deputy General Manager.
- Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities to increase revenue.
- Ensure all licensing, health & safety, and company procedures are followed.
- Support hotel events, weddings, and special functions.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a Head Bartender, Bar Manager, or Senior Bartender in a quality hotel, restaurant, or hospitality venue.
- Excellent knowledge of wines, spirits, cocktails, and current industry trends.
- Strong leadership and team management skills is essential.
- Outstanding customer service and communication abilities.
- A positive, hands-on approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with stock management, rotas, and staff training.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
