We are a growing convenience retail business committed to providing excellent customer service, quality products, and a welcoming shopping experience. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Retail Shop Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our store and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the overall daily operations of the retail shop.
- Lead, supervise, and motivate shop staff to achieve sales and service targets.
- Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained at all times.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate ordering, deliveries, and inventory control.
- Manage cash handling, banking, and till reconciliation procedures.
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, health & safety requirements, and company policies.
- Analyse sales performance and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
- Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally.
- Recruit, train, and develop staff members.
- Maintain store security and oversee CCTV monitoring procedures.
- Build relationships with suppliers and manage stock purchasing activities.
- Prepare management reports and maintain accurate business records.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail management or supervisory roles.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Good understanding of stock control, cash management, and retail operations.
- Ability to work independently and make effective business decisions.
- Knowledge of convenience store or off-licence operations is desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail management systems.
