Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverages, including coffee, tea, and light snacks, ensuring high quality and presentation standards
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service, taking orders, answering questions, and creating a welcoming environment
- Maintain food safety standards by adhering to hygiene regulations and proper handling procedures
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, salads, or baked goods
- Manage cash register operations with basic math skills to handle transactions accurately
- Keep the café tidy by cleaning tables, counters, and kitchen areas regularly
- Support stock management by restocking supplies and monitoring inventory levels to ensure smooth service flow
Experience
- Previous barista experience is highly desirable to craft quality coffee beverages with confidence
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards is essential
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing are required
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when needed
