We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Locum Hygiene professional to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Perform thorough dental hygiene procedures including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth using hand tools and power tools.
- Assist with patient assessments, including oral health evaluations and charting.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term dental health.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all hygiene equipment is functioning properly.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documenting procedures performed and any observations made during appointments.
- Follow strict infection control protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Support the dental team with additional tasks as needed, including inventory management of hygiene supplies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dental hygiene or related healthcare roles, with familiarity using hand tools and power tools for dental procedures.
- Construction or general maintenance experience is a plus, demonstrating comfort with manual tasks and tool handling.
- Strong knowledge of infection control standards and sterilization techniques.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with team members.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Certification or licensure as required by local health authorities for dental hygienists or equivalent roles.
