The Harrow Dental Practice Implant & Education Centre is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Dental Receptionist to join our friendly team on a full-time, 12-month maternity cover contract.
We are a modern, mixed 10-surgery dental practice providing a comprehensive range of dental and facial cosmetic treatments, including general dentistry, dental implants, Invisalign, laser therapy, facial aesthetics and much more.
We are looking for a dedicated, friendly and motivated individual who enjoys working with patients and as part of a busy, supportive team.
The Role
As a Dental Receptionist, you will be an important part of our team and the first point of contact for our patients. You will provide a warm, professional and welcoming experience while helping to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the practice.
Your duties will include:
- Greeting and welcoming patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Answering incoming telephone calls and dealing with patient enquiries
- Booking, amending and managing appointments
- Taking payments and processing transactions accurately
- Maintaining and filing patient records
- Liaising with patients, clinicians and the wider practice team
- Ensuring the reception area is welcoming and well organised
- Helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice
- Carrying out additional duties and tasks as requested by the Practice Manager or Principal
About You

- Experienced in dental reception or a similar patient-facing role
- Friendly, approachable and professional
- A quick learner with excellent attention to detail
- Confident with an excellent telephone manner
- Highly organised and able to work effectively in a busy environment
- An excellent written and verbal communicator
- Reliable, punctual and a strong team player
- Patient-focused and committed to delivering excellent customer service
Experience with the R4 dental practice management system is desirable, although full training will be provided.
Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
