Now Education are looking to appoint a Science teacher for a challenging PRU in the central Derby area. The role is required on a full time basis for to start from September 2026 for the academic year. You must have UK QTS to apply.
Duties of the role:
- Prepare and deliver engaging lessons
- Monitor students progress
- Liaise with parents and staff to discuss pupils progress
- Cover parents evenings and open days at the school
- Effectively manage behaviour using the schools policies
- Teach all aspects of Science to a high standard
We are looking for teachers who meet the following criteria:
- UK QTS
- Experience working with KS3 and KS4 classes
- Teaching specialism in Science
- A real passion for education
- Experience working with challenging behaviour
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and will be offered work on successfully passing Now Education’s compliance checks. You will need an Enhanced DBS on the update service to work in schools. There is a cost of £49.50 if you need to apply.
