Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable Bus Driver to operate passenger vehicles safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a good understanding of vehicle maintenance, and experience in commercial driving. This role involves transporting passengers over designated routes, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times. Duties
- Safely operate buses along assigned routes, ensuring timely pick-up and drop-off of passengers
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to verify the vehicle's safety and operational status
- Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, providing support as needed
- Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and passenger counts
- Communicate effectively with passengers and dispatchers regarding schedules or delays
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues promptly
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure passenger safety at all times
- Keep the bus clean and presentable, both inside and outside
Requirements
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Must have valid CPC
- Must have D/D1 License to driver PSV vehicles
- Proven experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to interact professionally with passengers and colleagues
- Experience with driving various types of buses or similar vehicles is advantageous
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends if required
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure route adherence and safety compliance
