At the heart of Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust’s ambitious Digital Strategy is the provision of high-quality data to support intelligence-led decision making. You will be working in a team that is key to delivering this element of the strategy using highly developed skills in the use of data and analytics.
Our department covers all things ‘data’, including:
capture of data – data structures within electronic, operational, clinical and administrative systems; how the human interactions with these systems support the capture of good quality data
transfer of data between systems
storage and data from multiple systems – building and maintaining data within our data warehouse to enable efficient access of ‘real-time’ and ‘snapshot’ data
data management – data quality, data integration and documentation
analytics – visualisation and dashboards; supporting operational and mandatory reporting, machine learning
You will be embedded within the Analytics and Reporting team, supporting the team to produce the multiple reports that are required and giving you an understanding of how we turn data into information to support operational teams, managers, senior Executives and external bodies.
Successful candidates would be expected to work on site three days per week.

A Junior Information Analyst works with hospital and community services data. They are responsible for producing regular reporting that is required both within Northumbria Healthcare and for external organisations such as NHS England.

Candidates will be required to attend a face-to-face test. Candidates who pass the test will then be invited to interview.

A Junior Information Analyst is responsible for specific areas of reporting and ensures that outputs are produced to required deadlines. This may be in relation to committee meetings, to operational requirements (e.g., providing information required to manage waiting lists), or to national deadlines.
They use their understanding of the data and the reports to check that outputs are accurate and to respond to queries. A key part of any analysis work that they do is to ask the questions “does the data look correct?” and “is the output I have produced giving the expected answers?”
