ABOUT DANESCROFT SOLUTIONS
Danescroft Solutions Ltd is a growing managed services provider specialising in two-way radio communications, including both Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) and Push-to-Talk over Cellular (PTT/PoC) technologies. We supply and manage enterprise-grade radio and Android PTT devices, communication platforms, SIM connectivity and Mobile Device Management services to organisations across the UK, with a particular focus on security, emergency response and public safety sectors.

THE ROLE
As a Technical Provisioning & Support Specialist you will be responsible for configuring, provisioning and supporting the devices and platforms we deliver to our customers across both our DMR and PTT/PoC product ranges.
Full training will be provided on all of our systems and products. We are not looking for someone with specific prior experience — what matters is that you are genuinely passionate about technology, methodical in your approach and a fast learner. No formal qualifications are required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Device Provisioning & Configuration
- Configure and programme DMR radios for customer deployments, including channel plans, talk groups and codeplug management
- Configure Android PTT devices using our Mobile Device Management platform, including app deployment, kiosk mode and policy enforcement
- Enrol and activate SIM cards through our connectivity management portals
- Set up and test devices on our PTT communication platform prior to deployment
- Manage firmware updates and test new releases before customer deployment
- Maintain accurate records of device inventory, SIM allocations and configuration status
Technical Support
- Provide first and second line technical support to customers across both DMR and PTT/PoC product ranges via phone and email
- Diagnose and resolve device, connectivity and platform issues efficiently
- Carry out occasional on-site visits to customer premises to support installations, commissioning or fault resolution
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior supplier contacts where appropriate
- Maintain a clear log of support tickets and resolutions
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Conduct pre-deployment testing and quality checking of all devices and configurations
- Test new firmware releases and platform updates before rollout to customers
- Develop and follow testing checklists to ensure consistent, high-quality deployments
New Order Processing
- Process incoming device orders — unboxing, asset tagging, configuration and dispatch
- Coordinate SIM activation and device enrolment for new customer deployments
- Support with logistics and delivery scheduling
Documentation
- Maintain accurate technical records including device configurations, SIM allocations and deployment notes
- Contribute to the development of technical guides and support documentation
- Provide clear handover notes and instructions for customers on deployment
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Essential
- Genuinely tech-savvy with a strong interest in how technology works
- Comfortable working with Android devices at an advanced level
- Methodical and accurate with strong attention to detail
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting ability
- Clear communicator — able to explain technical issues to non-technical users
- Self-motivated and able to manage a varied workload independently
- A quick learner, comfortable picking up new systems
- Full UK driving licence (for occasional site visits)
Desirable (not essential)
- Experience in a technical support, IT helpdesk or telecoms role
- Familiarity with DMR or two-way radio programming
- Experience with MDM platforms or enterprise mobility management
- Experience with SIM management or mobile connectivity
- Enthusiasm for radio communications technology
WHAT WE OFFER
- £25,000 - £30,000 salary depending on experience, with a structured pay review at 12 months
- Full training on all our systems and platforms — no prior knowledge of our technologies required
