Cardiff and Vale College is seeking enthusiastic and skilled Community Learning Facilitators to support the delivery of engaging community-based learning opportunities across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.
We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals who can deliver workshops that inspire adults to engage with learning. This could include areas such as arts and crafts, sewing and textiles, DIY, gardening, wellbeing activities, digital skills, community-based learning and other practical or creative subjects.
Working as part of our Lifelong Learning team, you will help adults access learning opportunities, build confidence and progress into further education, training or personal development activities. The role involves delivering workshops, supporting learner engagement, promoting opportunities within local communities and working collaboratively with a range of internal and external partners.
You will:
- Deliver engaging workshops and learning activities within community settings.
- Support adults to access and progress through community learning opportunities.
- Promote learning opportunities through community engagement activities and events.
- Build positive relationships with learners and partner organisations.
- Support learner progression, wellbeing and achievement.
- Undertake administrative tasks relating to learner attendance, progress and outcomes.
We are looking for individuals who:
- Have experience, skills or specialist knowledge in a practical, creative, wellbeing or community-focused subject area.
- Are passionate about supporting adults to engage with learning.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Can work independently and as part of a wider team.
- Have experience of working with diverse communities and learners.
- Are confident using digital systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Experience delivering workshops within community, educational or adult learning environments would be advantageous.
Whilst the ability to speak Welsh is not essential for the role, we would welcome applications from candidates who can engage with learners through the medium of Welsh.

Additional Information
This position is offered on a fixed-term basis in line with the current funding arrangements for the programme. Ending 31st July 2027.
