Med-Lab is looking for a Procurement & Supply Chain Officer to support stock, supplier and purchasing activities, in a newly created role. This is a hands-on opportunity with scope to grow and develop Med-Lab’s procurement function.
You will monitor stock availability, pricing and shelf-life exposure, support just-in-time replenishment, manage slow-moving and obsolete stock, and provide procurement information for bids, quotations and supplier reviews. The post-holder will, in time, take ownership of supplier negotiation, category strategy and wider their responsibilities.
What you’ll be doing
- Monitor stock availability, pricing, shelf life and supply risks.
- Support just-in-time warehouse replenishment and stock control.
- Administer slow-moving and obsolete stock, including supplier returns and rebates.
- Procure Petrochemical division supplies, including lab consumables.
- Track supplier performance and maintain accurate supplier records.
- Support pricing, lead-time and supply information for bids and customer RFQs.
- Recommend practical improvements to procurement processes.
What we’re looking for
- Experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain or stock control.
- Confidence working with pricing, supplier data and Excel or similar tools.
- Strong communication, organisation and attention to detail.
- A proactive, hands-on approach in a developing role.
- Useful but not essential: aerospace, MRO or regulated supply chain experience; ERP systems; CIPS; or bid/tender exposure.

Pay: £30,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
