Dual Registered Manager – Children's Residential Care
Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 per year
Our client is a progressive provider of residential children's homes, dedicated to supporting children and young people on their own unique journeys towards the futures they aspire to. They are now looking for an experienced Dual Registered Manager to help shape the culture of their service and lead two homes alongside an Assistant Manager.
About the Role
This is a dual registration position, with responsibility for managing two children's homes in partnership with the Assistant Manager, who will support you in overseeing the staff team. You will work closely with the Responsible Individual to develop and manage each home.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the welfare, safety and needs of all children and young people are met, and that they are safeguarded from harm, abuse, neglect and exploitation at all times
- Develop, co-ordinate and support the staff group, supervising the Assistant Manager and overseeing the wider staff team
- Maintain effective records in line with the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and associated standards
- Manage all aspects of budgetary control for the homes
- Prepare and oversee effective staff rotas, including an on-call rota
- Co-ordinate admissions and discharges, responding flexibly to referrals in line with each home's Statement of Purpose
- Liaise effectively with Social Workers, GPs, education staff, and other statutory and voluntary agencies, as well as parents and carers
- Build strong working relationships with Commissioning Partners, Police, the LSCB and Ofsted
- Set a high standard of professional conduct and ensure effective communication across the staff team
- Ensure staff receive regular support and supervision, respond appropriately to child care concerns, and stay informed through regular staff meetings
- Maintain the homes' buildings, equipment and furnishings to a high standard

Requirements
- Certificate of Higher Education (preferred)
- Minimum 2 years' leadership experience (preferred)
- Minimum 5 years' experience within a children's home (preferred)
Pay: £60,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
