Role Overview
Josh Hair and Beauty is seeking a warm, reliable, experienced and detail-oriented Salon Coordinator to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a client-facing, fast-paced salon environment and enjoys keeping systems organised behind the scenes. You’ll be the first face clients see and a key part of ensuring smooth operations throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities
Client Experience & Front of House
- Greet all clients warmly and professionally upon arrival
- Check clients in and out, ensuring all records are accurate in Salon IQ
- Offer beverages, assist with hospitality and create a welcoming environment
- Manage the client waiting area and ensure it is tidy, calm, and well-stocked
- Ensure clients receive appointment reminders, service follow-ups, and relevant information
Appointments & Scheduling
- Book, reschedule and cancel appointments using Salon IQ
- Answer phone calls and WhatsApp/Instagram queries politely and promptly
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate client information, preferences, and service history
- Handle walk-in enquiries, manage daily appointment flow, and resolve scheduling conflicts
- Support staff in staying on time and informed of their client list for the day
Administration & Coordination
- Monitor salon emails and assist with administrative tasks
- Assist with stock level checks and product reordering (e.g. colour, treatments, retail)
- Maintain inventory records and notify the manager when levels are low
- Assist with assembling client packages and service bundles
- Help manage forms and paperwork for new and returning clients and staff
Essential Skills
- Previous experience in a salon, hospitality or reception/admin role
- Excellent communication skills (in-person and digital)
- Highly organised and detail-oriented
- Comfortable with technology and booking systems (training provided)
- Able to manage multiple tasks and remain calm under pressure
- Friendly, polite, and naturally hospitable
Desirable (But Not Essential)
- Familiarity with Salon IQ, or other salon software
- Interest in beauty, hair or wellness industries
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract, Apprenticeship
Contract length: 24 months
Pay: £1,300.00-£1,700.00 per month
