We are seeking an experienced and motivated Stairlift Installation & Repair Engineer to join our growing engineering team.
The Role
You will be responsible for the installation, servicing, fault diagnosis and repair of stairlifts throughout Northern Ireland. Working in customers’ homes, you will deliver a high-quality service while maintaining the highest standards of safety, workmanship and customer care.
Key Responsibilities
- Install straight and curved stairlifts.
- Service, maintain and repair stairlifts.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults.
- Carry out safety inspections and functional testing.
- Provide customers with clear demonstrations of equipment operation.
- Complete electronic job reports and service documentation.
- Maintain company vehicle, tools and stock levels.
- Participate in an on-call rota where required.
- Work in accordance with company procedures and Health & Safety legislation.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience installing and repairing stairlifts or similar lifting equipment.
- Good electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- NVQ Level 2 in Lift Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
- Experience working with manufacturers such as Handicare, Platinum, Stannah...
- LOLER awareness or experience working with lifting equipment.
- CSR card.
