Your Village Pharmacy is a friendly, independent distance-selling pharmacy based in the heart of Littleborough village. We are looking for an experienced and reliable Locum Pharmacy Dispenser to join our supportive team on regular fixed days each week.
The role
The successful candidate must be confident working accurately and efficiently in a busy dispensing environment. Experience using the Titan PMR system is important and will be a key consideration when assessing applicants.
This is a part-time temporary/locum position, expected to start during the first week of September 2026. Regular working days and hours will be agreed with the successful candidate.
Main responsibilities
- Accurately prepare, label and assemble prescriptions under the supervision of the responsible pharmacist
- Work confidently and efficiently with the Titan PMR system
- Process prescriptions while maintaining high standards of accuracy and patient safety
- Prepare completed prescriptions safely for collection or delivery
- Follow pharmacy SOPs, legal requirements, confidentiality and data-protection procedures
- Assist with receiving stock, stock rotation and expiry-date checks
- Maintain a clean, organised and efficient dispensary
- Identify and escalate prescription or clinical queries to the responsible pharmacist
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the smooth daily running of the pharmacy
Essential requirements
- NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services, or an equivalent recognised dispensing qualification
- At least one year of recent UK pharmacy dispensing experience
- Strong dispensing accuracy and attention to detail
- Reliable, organised and able to work effectively within a team
- Good communication and time-management skills
- Confidence using pharmacy PMR systems
Titan PMR experience is strongly preferred and is important for this role.
