Main responsibilities
. Diagnose and repair buses.
· Diagnose vehicle faults and specify the correct method of repair and parts to be used.
· Carry out vehicle servicing in accordance with central engineering SOPs.
· Be fully conversant with the overhaul and repair and diagnostic methods and repair principles .
Key Safety Responsibilities
· Act in a manner as to ensure the health, safety, welfare, environment and fire safety of yourself and others in the organisation, as well as any customers, clients and visitors - understanding emergency and evacuation arrangements
· Ensure your working environment is maintained in a safe and tidy condition
· Act proactively identifying any unsafe practices or safety risks in the organisation, reporting appropriately
· Ensure adherence to all relevant company and Go-Ahead group company policies and procedures
Requirements
· Minimum level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent.
· Must be fully conversant with the safe operation of workshop equipment and the overhaul and repair of Electrical and Hybrid vehicle systems.
· Must be in the possession of, or capable of obtaining a full PCV licence and forklift truck licence if required.
