Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and on-site incidents, providing immediate first aid and life support as needed
- Perform physical examinations to assess patient condition and determine appropriate response actions
- Administer basic life support techniques, including CPR and airway management, to stabilize patients until advanced care arrives
- Conduct patient care activities such as wound management, vital sign monitoring, and medication administration within scope of training
- Utilize physiology and anatomy knowledge to evaluate injuries or medical issues accurately during triage and treatment
- Follow strict aseptic techniques during procedures like injection administration to prevent infection
- Operate emergency vehicles safely, including driving to incident sites while managing heavy lifting requirements for equipment or patients when necessary
Experience
- Prior experience in critical care settings such as hospitals or emergency response environments is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to perform physical examinations and understand medical terminology clearly
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medication administration protocols, and aseptic techniques is essential
- Experience with triage procedures and patient care in high-pressure situations enhances effectiveness in this role
- Valid driving license with clean record; ability to handle heavy lifting safely is required
- Familiarity with hospital protocols and emergency response procedures will contribute to success in this position
