Salary: £29,064 per annum, pro rata to £25,221 for term time only working

This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting students to make positive behaviour choices, overcome barriers to learning and successfully reintegrate into mainstream education. The successful candidate will co-lead our Alternative Provision and help maintain a calm, structured and purposeful environment that supports both individual student success and high standards across the school.
As a key member of our Inclusion Team and a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL), you will contribute significantly to the welfare, safeguarding and personal development of students, ensuring that every young person receives the support, challenge and guidance they need to thrive.
The Alternative Provision sits at the heart of our behaviour systems, helping to ensure disruption-free classrooms while providing students with a supportive environment in which to reflect, learn and improve.
The successful candidate will:

Lead the day-to-day operation of the school’s Alternative Provision (Isolation Room)

Create and maintain a calm, structured and highly effective learning environment.

Coordinate and oversee the school’s detention system.
-
Support students in reflecting on their behaviour and making positive choices.

Facilitate successful reintegration into mainstream lessons.
-
Identify and respond to behavioural, pastoral, attendance and SEND concerns.

Work closely with Heads of Year, tutors, teachers, the SENCo and senior leaders.

Maintain accurate records of student placements, interventions and outcomes.

Coordinate restorative conversations and behaviour mentoring.
-
Support students’ academic engagement while attending Alternative Provision.

Act as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, supporting the school’s safeguarding systems and culture.

Contribute to the ongoing development of behaviour and inclusion systems across the school.
