Overview
TMA are seeking Experienced Roofers / Roofing Gangs to carry out repairs and maintenance works across social housing properties. The role covers general roof repairs, roof investigations and fault finding, tile and slate repairs, gutters, downpipes, fascia and soffits, and associated works.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience in roofing repairs and maintenance.
- Previous social housing experience including occupied properties, and the ability to work independently and safely.
- Good customer service skills are required when dealing with tenants and neighbours.
- Applicants must have their own tools.
- A full UK driving license, and be comfortable using a mobile phone for job updates, photos etc.
Required Skills:
- Pitched roofing including tiling and slating (repairs and renewals)
- Flat roofing systems including felt, GRP and liquid systems
- Full roof replacements and planned works
- Leadwork including flashings, valleys, and soakers
- Chimney works including repointing, repairs and rebuilds
- Roofline works including fascia, soffits, and guttering
- Leak detection and fault finding
- General roofing repairs
- Working across occupied and void properties
- Carrying out works to a high standard across both reactive and planned jobs
Person Spec:
- Experience in a varied construction and building environment, including working within social housing and local authority
- Full driving license
- DBS check will be required and clean (exceptions may be given)
- Ability to work from plans, but also have the ability to fill in any gaps or highlight to the supervisor for approval
- A can do attitude
- Possess a high degree of attention to detail
- Awareness of Health and Safety
- Highly customer focused
- Experience of working within a mobile workforce
- Experience dealing with customers and suppliers
- Excellent communication skills
- Musty be able to use a tablet for work sheet
