As a Cleaner you are required to maintain the highest levels of cleanliness in the residents bedrooms and all public areas within the Home. Your duties and responsibilities will include working within the company’s operational standards. You will be working within a team, reporting directly to the Domestic Supervisor but also need to be adaptable to use your own initiative working on your own. You must be able to work under pressure whilst maintaining the high standards of cleanliness.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Follow the cleaning routine set out by the Home and follow the daily, weekly & monthly cleaning schedules.
- Keeping up to date with your knowledge of health and safety in the workplace.
- Making certain that chemicals / equipment used and stored correctly and safety procedures are adhered to at all times.
- Reporting immediately, to the person in charge, any illness of an infectious nature or accident to yourself or collegues.
- Reporting immediately, to the maintenance or person in charge, any faulty appliances, damaged furniture, equipment or any potential hazards
- Promote safe working practice in the Home.
- Ability to work alone when required.
- Ensure that all information of confidential nature gained in the course of duty is not discussed with any third parties.
- Ensure the security of the Home is maintained at all times.
- Promoting and ensuring the good reputation of the Home.
- Carrying out any other tasks that may be reasonably assigned to you.
