Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic team member to join our team in a vibrant restaurant environment. As a team member, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional guest services, ensuring that patrons have a memorable dining experience. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere while adhering to food safety standards. The hours will be full time working 5 days per week.
As this position involves preparing and serving alcoholic drinks, we are considering candidates over the age of 18 years old.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests promptly with a friendly demeanour.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using the restaurant's ordering system.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely manner, ensuring presentation meets our standards.
- Provide assistance with menu selections and upselling additional items to enhance the dining experience.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and timely service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, ensuring satisfaction at all times.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment.
Skills
- Strong guest services skills with a passion for hospitality.
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tables efficiently.
- Basic maths skills for processing orders and handling payments accurately.
- Familiarity with food preparation processes and kitchen operations is advantageous.
- Knowledge of food safety practices to maintain high hygiene standards in the restaurant setting.
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively while providing helpful recommendations to guests.
