An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and focused Administration Team Leader to join the GI Services Team.
The Division incorporates surgical and medical specialties that manage diseases and disorders of the digestive system. The role is responsible for the careful management of RTT pathways and waiting times with direct line management responsibility of 5 Administration Coordinators and 1 Administration Assistant. You will oversee a busy and demanding admissions service, ensuring your team delivers on a range of targets including theatre and outpatient utilization, RTT compliance and waiting list management.
You will be a team player with excellent communication skills and a drive and energy to improve the patient experience. Knowledge of 18 week pathways, cancer waiting times and admissions management would be advantageous.
The ideal candidate will have a patient centered approach and experience of working within a busy NHS team, ideally with strong management or supervisory experience.
You will be responsible for managing a team of 6 staff who look after the Colorectal Surgery Pathway.
You will be responsible for ensuring a smooth running of those services with good utilisation of all resources.
You will be responsible for monitoring RTT compliance and actively seeking ways to reduce waiting times.
You will be able to lead change within your team and contribute to service improvement projects across the GI Surgery team. You will be a key member of the GI Surgery Management team.

You will undertake a key role in a busy and demanding elective service, ensuring we deliver on a range of targets including theatre utilisation, RTT compliance and waiting list management.
You will work closely with your colleagues, with a view to providing a streamlined pathway for patients in the service.
You will be located at 250 Euston Road and will be expected to work in a hybrid model (on site and at home).
