Business Development Manager – North of England
OTE up to £65k depending on experience.

With a reputation built on quality, engineering excellence, and customer service, we are looking to strengthen our commercial team with the appointment of an ambitious and results-driven Business Development Manager covering the North of England.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales professional to play a key role in growing market share, developing strategic customer relationships, and supporting our established dealer network.
The Role
As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth across your territory, managing key customer and dealer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities. Acting as the face of the Weightlifter brand, you will deliver a consultative sales approach that ensures customers receive the right solutions and an outstanding experience from initial enquiry through to after-sales support.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed sales and profitability targets within your territory
- Develop and strengthen relationships with truck dealers, fleet operators, and end users
- Identify and secure new business opportunities to expand market presence
- Support, coach, and engage dealer partners to maximise sales performance
- Manage and maintain an accurate sales pipeline using Workbooks CRM
- Prepare quotations, process orders, and develop territory growth plans
- Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the sales journey
- Represent Weightlifter Bodies at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events
- Gather market intelligence and provide feedback on competitor activity and customer trends

Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven success in B2B field sales
- Strong relationship-building and account management skills
- Experience working with dealer networks or distribution channels
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Consultative selling approach with a customer-focused mindset
- Strong organisational and territory management abilities
- Experience using CRM systems
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the region
Desirable Experience
- Experience within the trailer, truck body, commercial vehicle, transport, or engineering sectors
- Knowledge of the UK trailer and truck body market
- Formal sales training or recognised professional development qualifications
