Job Description: Weekend Outdoor General Sales Assistant.
Location: Plant Department at Chepstow Garden Centre.
We are looking for a Weekend Outdoor General Sales Assistant to work in our plant department, someone with high standards, a good work ethic and a good level of flexibility.
You will work in a team and on your own at times, this is a public facing role you will develop your communication skills and learn the basics of retail within the garden centre industry.
Main Duties/Tasks:
· Stock replenishment.
· To be ready to recommend products to customers and suggest items to meet their needs.
· To take an active role in display and presentation, cleaning, and other maintenance.
· Display and Merchandising.
· Ensure that all items are clearly priced.
· Excellent customer service.
· Plant care, maintenance, and watering assisting customers with carry out to their car service.
Requirements:
- Good Communicator.
- Good Team Player, driven by the desire to deliver 100% customer satisfaction.
- Health and Safety Conscious
- The position will require heavy lifting, so a good degree of fitness is required.
Salary and Company Benefits:
· Wage brackets Pay rates 16yrs £8.50,17-18yrs £10.90, 19yrs and above £12.75 per hour
· 28 days annual leave including paid Bank Holidays, pro-rata basis for part-time employees.
· Uniform and safety shoes will be provided.
· Discounted rates on food and drink in our restaurant whilst working.
· In store staff discount after completion of a successful probation.
