About the Role
GoTutors is looking for an exceptional English Tutor to join our growing education team. This is not a standard tutoring role—we are looking for someone who is passionate about English, takes pride in delivering exceptional lessons, and is willing to take ownership of the quality and consistency of English teaching within the centre.
The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of GCSE English Language and English Literature, with the confidence to teach all topics across both specifications. We are looking for someone who can become the go-to English specialist, ensuring students receive consistently high-quality teaching and helping maintain the academic standards expected at GoTutors.
This role carries significant responsibility and is ideal for someone who is reliable, proactive, and committed to educational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, high-quality English lessons using GoTutors’ curriculum and resources.
- Teach GCSE English Language and English Literature with confidence across all topics.
- Prepare thoroughly for every lesson and ensure students make measurable academic progress.
- Monitor student performance and provide clear feedback to support improvement.
- Maintain exceptionally high classroom standards, organisation and professionalism.
- Support the ongoing development of English resources and lesson planning where required.
- Work closely with the Head of Education to ensure consistency and excellence across the English department.
- Act as a positive role model for students and uphold the values and expectations of GoTutors.

Essential Requirements
- GCSE English Language Grade 7 (A) or above (minimum requirement).
- Excellent knowledge of GCSE English Language and English Literature.
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience is desirable.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Working Pattern
- Friday: 4:45pm – 9:15pm
- Saturday: 8:55am – 6:30pm
