Role Overview
As a Cleaner within our supported housing services, you will help create safe, clean and welcoming environments for residents. You will maintain communal areas and prepare void properties to a high standard, ensuring accommodation is safe, hygienic and ready for occupation.
You will also play an important role in identifying and reporting safeguarding concerns, working as part of a supportive team and acting as an ambassador for The Housing Network.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean void properties to prepare them for new residents.
- Clean communal areas, kitchens, laundry rooms and shared facilities to a high standard.
- Remove and dispose of rubbish safely.
- Carry out scheduled cleaning in line with contract requirements.
- Ensure communal areas remain safe, clean and free from hazards.
- Complete sharps sweeps where required.
- Report repairs and maintenance issues promptly.
- Follow COSHH guidance and all company policies and procedures.
- Wear appropriate PPE and maintain professional standards at all times.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous cleaning experience, preferably within communal or residential properties.
- High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Basic IT skills to report maintenance issues.
- Ability to prioritise workload and work independently or as part of a team.
- Professional curiosity and awareness of safeguarding responsibilities.
- Full UK manual driving licence.
Knowledge & Behaviours
- Understanding of safeguarding and how to report concerns.
- Experience cleaning multi-occupancy or domestic properties.
- Resilient and confident working with people who may have complex needs.
- Professional, reliable and adaptable.
