Full-time care assistant required working on a two-to-one basis (9am-9pm)
Required for a lady in her 40’s, wheelchair bound with a complex medical history.
The client lives in a fully adapted family home which include her family. Working as part of tight knit team, the position will require you to primarily administer medication and help with personal care.
Hourly wage is £14.13 Per hour and Time and a half for bank holidays. 4 weekly pay PAYE + pro rata annual leave entitlements 5.6 as per contracted hours.
Full and part-time positions available
These are day shifts 9am- 9pm available for the right candidates. All shifts on a set rota. A healthy work life balance is always appreciated and respected.
All candidates need to be 18+ and have the right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is unfortunately not available.
Experience in care is preferable and all training for the role is provided via NHS ICB certified standards. Also, a driving license is preferable to help the client to attend hospital appointments in their adapted vehicle.
The ideal candidate will be able to think on their feet and be able to work alongside other team members (male and female) to ensure good working practices. A good positive “can do” attitude, good communication skills and reliability is essential.
Duties include:
Helping with personal care.
Hoisting with maximum attention to pain management.
Light house work of the family home and keeping a safe working environment.
Assisting, giving medication including Injections and documenting of medication using MARs.
Meal preparation.
Full observations management.
Diabetes management including insulin.
Pressure area management as advertised via a care plan.
Assisting the client to maintain enrichment around the house and out in public
A good-natured attitude to prompt and assist on days where the client’s condition is at its worst, which will include bed days due to the client’s deteriorating conditions.
