We are an independent brewery, taproom & restaurant who love indie beer.
We're looking for a new Duty Manager to join our ambitious business.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about indie beer, food and customer service to join a growing independent business.
Ideally you will have a good knowledge of cask and keg beer (inc dispense) and experience of working in a supervisory role in a busy bar or restaurant environment. Experience with social media and event planning would be a bonus but not essential.
You will be organised, self motivated, thoughtful, determined, accountable and most importantly, a good and effective communicator.
Key Duties
-Assisting the General Manager & Deputy Manager in the day to day operation of the business
-Leading by example and supporting staff in their duties to ensure excellent customer service
-Ensuring beer standards are always exceptional by liaising with the brewers & Manager
-Ensuring opening and closing procedures are followed within the business and a high standard across the business is maintained.
-Responsible key holder
-Cellar and Stock Management
-Promoting the Steam Town brand, and upholding the values and ideals of the company
Skills & Experience
-Minimum 18 months in a similar role
-Dedicated team leader / team coach
-Experience of managing cash / cashing up in a business context
-Promoting sales in wholesale or retail environment
-Experience in leading and developing a strong team
-Experience of promoting high standards of service and customer expectation
-A serious passion for craft beer & delicious food
-Track record of success and progress in your career to date
-Experience of health and safety of staff and customers
