Support Worker (Complex Care) – Prestwich, Greater Manchester
£17.00 – £18.00 per hour | Permanent Position

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to provide 1:1 care for a young boy with cerebral palsy in the Prestwich area.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support a child in both home and community settings, helping him to engage in daily routines, attend activities, and enjoy a fulfilling lifestyle.
Your responsibilities will include:
- School pick-ups during term time
- Supporting after-school activities, including swimming
- Assisting with day-to-day care during non-term time
- Promoting independence, safety, and wellbeing at all times
Working Hours
Term Time:
- Monday to Friday: 2:00pm – 6:00pm
- Saturday: 10:00am – 4:00pm
Non-Term Time:
- Monday to Saturday: 10:00am – 4:00pm
Pay Rates
- Monday to Friday: £17.00 per hour
- Weekends: £18.00 per hour
- Training rate: £13.00 per hour
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in a support or care role
- Knowledgeable about cerebral palsy and complex needs
- Confident, friendly, and approachable
- Flexible and reliable, with a person-centred approach
- Able to swim (essential for supporting activities)
- A full UK driving licence holder
Desirable:
- Registered on the DBS Update Service
This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
