Senior Care Assistant – Peterborough
Pay: £12.90 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week, including alternate weekends
Location: Peterborough and surrounding areas

Bee’s Care Ltd is recruiting an experienced, compassionate and dependable Senior Care Assistant to support our clients and help lead our team of carers.

About the role
You will provide person-centred care to people in their own homes and act as a source of guidance and support for the care team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing personal care, meal preparation, companionship and support with everyday household tasks
- Providing medication support in line with training, care plans and company procedures
- Leading by example and supporting carers to deliver safe, respectful and consistent care
- Helping new carers develop their confidence through shadowing and practical guidance
- Monitoring clients’ wellbeing and reporting changes, concerns or safeguarding issues promptly
- Maintaining accurate care records and encouraging good recording practices within the team
- Communicating effectively with clients, families, the office team and other professionals
- Following care plans and risk assessments while promoting independence, dignity and choice
What we’re looking for
You will need:
- At least one year of hands-on care experience, ideally two years or more
- A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Availability to work 40 hours per week, including alternate weekends
- The confidence to guide colleagues and help lead a team of carers
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A reliable, compassionate and professional approach
- The ability to recognise concerns, use sound judgement and seek support when needed
Previous senior care experience, a relevant Health and Social Care qualification and experience supporting new staff would be welcomed.
