Bored of dull, corporate job ads?
So are we!
Let's skip the bit where we call ourselves a 'fast-paced, dynamic organisation seeking a self-starter with a proven track record of leveraging synergies.'
Here's the truth instead…
We train therapy and assistance dogs that change people's lives.
Our marketing is what connects those dogs to the schools, families, and organisations who need them. And the brilliant human who runs it is about to go on maternity leave. That's where you come in.
(By the way, this is not a Mat cover role. Provided you’re actually brilliant at this, it’s a permanent role with hoards of progression!)
We’re looking for a world-class implementer who understands that great marketing needs creativity, commercial thinking AND relentless execution.
We’re not looking for a strategist who needs a team to press the buttons or a specialist who only does one thing.
We need a proper ‘doer’ who can write copy that sells, run paid campaigns that convert, and keep the whole marketing machine humming, all in the same week.
You'll inherit a working machine with proven channels. Your job is to refine it, expand it, and keep it efficient as we scale.
What you'll own:
Creative that makes people do something.
You'll be one of the people responsible for turning what makes PAWS special into marketing that gets noticed and drives action.
That means writing Meta and Google ads people actually want to click.
Writing nurture campaigns and sales emails people actually want to read.
Developing our social media presence.
Coming up with new hooks, angles, offers and campaign ideas.
Testing them.
Learning.
Improving.
You need to be an excellent copywriter.
Not “comfortable producing written content.”
Excellent.
You'll understand the difference between copy that sounds nice and copy that sells.
Paid advertising
This is a major part of the role.
You'll build, manage and optimise our paid campaigns across Meta, Google and LinkedIn.
You'll own the paid media budget and make decisions about where that money should go based on actual performance.
Which audiences deserve more spend?
Which creative is winning?
Where is acquisition getting too expensive?
What's generating leads but not customers?
What should we kill?
What should we double down on?
We don't want someone waiting to be told the answers.
We want you finding them.
You'll continuously test audiences, creative, copy, landing pages, and campaign structures to improve performance and scale what works.
Funnels and websites
Traffic means very little if the journey after the click doesn't work.
You'll take ownership of the marketing side of our websites, landing pages and funnels, keeping them live, accurate, fast-moving, and converting.
You'll spot opportunities to improve conversion, and you'll implement them.
You'll also manage the integrations connecting the different parts of our marketing ecosystem.
You don't necessarily need to be a developer.
But you absolutely need to be the sort of person who sees a technology problem and thinks: “I'll figure this out.”
CRM and email
HighLevel sits at the heart of our marketing operation.
You'll run it day to day.
You'll keep our database clean, useful and properly segmented.
You'll build, maintain and improve automations and workflows.
You'll own our marketing email programme from idea to execution, including writing, building, scheduling, testing and reporting.
You'll also have experience with cold email outreach and understand how to create messaging and sequences that turn cold prospects into conversations.
Numbers. Lots of numbers.
Creative instinct matters.
But so does knowing whether your brilliant idea actually worked.
You'll own marketing measurement operationally, making sure our tracking is reliable and our reporting tells us something useful.
You'll build and maintain dashboards.
You'll monitor the KPIs that matter.
You'll understand performance across the funnel rather than celebrating vanity metrics.
And you'll turn data into clear recommendations for the Director.
Not: “CTR decreased by 12%.”
But:
“Here's what's happening. Here's why I think it's happening. And here's what I'm doing about it.”
That's the difference we're looking for.
AI, technology and finding a better way
We're interested in what marketing can become, not just how it's always been done.
So we want someone who is curious about AI, automation, and emerging technology.
Someone who is already experimenting.
Someone who sees a repetitive task and wonders whether it can be automated.
Someone who uses AI to move faster, test more ideas, improve output, and create things that wouldn't have been practical a few years ago.
If you have experience with tools like Replit or other vibe coding platforms to build tools, dashboard, automate processes, or solve problems, we definitely want to hear about it.
You'll love this job if...
You're a doer.
You have ideas and hate leaving them sitting in a document somewhere.
You're commercially minded and understand that marketing ultimately needs to create customers and revenue.
You're comfortable being accountable for numbers.
You're obsessive about good copy.
You're curious.
You learn quickly.
You're organised enough to have multiple campaigns moving simultaneously without dropping the ball.
You notice the tiny details other people miss.
You enjoy experimenting.
And when something isn't working, your instinct isn't to explain why. It's to fix it!
What you'll need to bring
- You'll need strong hands-on experience in paid media and performance marketing, and we'll want you to demonstrate that experience during the recruitment process.
- You'll need genuine platform expertise across Meta Ads, alongside experience with Google Ads and ideally LinkedIn.
- You'll need a strong analytical brain and the ability to turn campaign and pipeline data into commercially sensible decisions.
- You'll need to be a genuinely strong copywriter who can move between punchy ads, landing pages, nurture sequences, sales emails, and cold outreach.
- You'll need experience managing campaigns, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
- And you'll need excellent attention to detail.
Because when you're responsible for this many moving parts, details matter.
We'd be VERY interested if you also know...
If you've built workflows, automations, pipelines and campaigns inside it, fantastic.
- Replit or similar AI powered development tools.
If your reaction to a problem is occasionally, “I could probably build something to solve that,” we'll get along very well.
- And if there are other platforms, tools or skills you've mastered that you think could make our marketing better?
Tell us.
We don't expect the best person for this job to fit perfectly inside a predetermined box.
What you'll get from us
You'll have real ownership.
Real responsibility.
And the opportunity to put your fingerprints on the growth of an ambitious business doing work that genuinely matters.
You'll inherit marketing that already works, but you'll have the freedom and expectation to challenge it, improve it and find the next thing that works even better.
You'll also get:
- Private healthcare
- A generous holiday allowance
- To work from home
And, importantly, a business that actually wants marketing to move quickly.
One last thing.
