Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Joiner to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. As a Joiner, you will be responsible for crafting, installing, and repairing structures made from wood, metal, and other materials. Your expertise will contribute to building high-quality fixtures, fittings, and frameworks across a variety of commercial and residential projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your craftsmanship in a fast-paced environment where precision and safety are paramount. You will work closely with project managers, contractors, and other trades to deliver exceptional results on time and within scope.
Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install wooden frameworks, cabinetry, doors, windows, and other fixtures with precision using hand tools and power tools
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate construction and installation
- Perform welding tasks as needed to join metal components securely
- Conduct heavy lifting safely when handling large or bulky materials to ensure efficient workflow
- Collaborate with team members on roofing projects, masonry tasks, or structural repairs as required
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency on-site
- Operate commercial vehicles for transportation of materials or equipment between sites when necessary
- Follow all safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health regulations
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, screwdrivers, and measuring devices
- Experience with power tools including drills, sanders, grinders, and nail guns
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to carpentry techniques and building systems
- Skilled in welding processes for metal fabrication tasks
- Knowledge of roofing techniques suitable for various structures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to ergonomic practices
- Valid commercial driving license preferred for transportation duties
- Basic masonry skills for minor brickwork or concrete repairs
