Job Title: Care Support Worker
Location : North London / Croydon
Job Summary:
Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to individuals in their own homes, supported living environments, or residential settings. Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing while ensuring each individual’s physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist with mobility and the safe use of moving and handling equipment.
- Support individuals with medication in accordance with care plans and company policies.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding where required.
- Help with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with service users and their families.
- Encourage independence and support individuals to achieve their personal goals.
- Accompany service users to appointments and community activities.
- Observe and accurately record changes in health, behaviour, or wellbeing, reporting concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate care records and complete daily documentation.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and report any concerns immediately.
- Adhere to health and safety, infection control, and confidentiality policies.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and the wider care team.
Skills & Experience:
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and professional.
- Previous experience in health and social care is desirable but not essential.
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable).
