CNC Sliding Head Programmer Setter Operator
Overview
Trisearch Solutions is recruiting for an experienced CNC Sliding Head Programmer Setter Operator to join an established engineering manufacturer in Wolverhampton on a permanent basis.
This is a specialist position for someone who is confident programming, setting and operating sliding head CNC lathes and can take responsibility for the machining process from initial setup through to completed component.
The successful candidate will be working with Cincom L32 sliding head lathes, producing precision components while maintaining strong standards of accuracy, quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Programming Cincom L32 sliding head lathes
- Setting machinery, tooling and workpieces ready for production
- Operating sliding head CNC machinery safely and efficiently
- Reading and working from engineering drawings and specifications
- Monitoring production and ensuring components meet required tolerances
- Carrying out dimensional and quality checks throughout the machining process
- Making tooling and machine adjustments where required
- Identifying and resolving machining issues during production
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
Experience
- Previous experience programming, setting and operating sliding head CNC lathes
- Experience working with Cincom machinery
- Experience with the Cincom L32 would be highly advantageous
- Ability to set and run machines independently
- Strong understanding of precision machining and component quality
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Excellent attention to detail
- Reliable and professional approach to work
Hours
Monday to Thursday: 8.00am to 4.30pm
Friday: 8.00am to 3.30pm
30 minute unpaid lunch each day
Two paid 10 minute breaks each day
39 hours per week
Pay and Benefits
£18.00 to £19.00 per hour, depending on experience
Permanent position
26 days annual leave
Holiday entitlement increases after 3, 5 and 10 years of service
