About Community Integrated Care
Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We transform lives by delivering high-quality, person-centred support that fosters independence and empowerment.
Our charity was founded in 1988 and we were one of the pioneers of the ‘Care in the Community’ agenda, enabling people to move out of long-stay institutions and live more fulfilling lives.
Since then, we’ve remained leaders in social care, providing bespoke support to thousands across the UK. Today, we support more than 2,600 people and employ 6,600 caring and committed colleagues across England and Scotland.
We have a proud history of breaking boundaries and are always looking for new ways to make a positive difference through bold ideas, innovative projects and impactful partnerships.
The people we support can be independent but may need some support to motivate them to be independently safe. They may also require reminding to look after themselves in a healthy manner. They will also require some reassuring around mobility and active support with cooking and household chores. It is important to them to support with routines, structure and consistency in their lives. They like people who are patient and take the time to get to know their needs, likes and dislikes. Activities they enjoy are listening to music, watching crime shows on TV, shopping, meeting dogs and other animals and spending time in their large garden.
The house where they live in a new build in Turriff which has 3 bedrooms with 1 of the rooms for staff. There is always 1 colleague on shift and for sleepovers. In order to support to have Best Lives Possible, our team have training in autism and learning difficulties.
Sometimes the people we support really need a male or female person to support them. For this particular role a female colleague is required. This is a genuine occupational requirement as defined by the Equality Act 2010.
