Maintenance – Part-Time Position (4 Days per Week)
Royal Troon Golf Club is seeking a reliable and practical maintenance person to support the upkeep and maintenance of its facilities.
This role is responsible for ensuring that the clubhouse, outbuildings, and surrounding areas are maintained to a high standard, contributing to the overall presentation and smooth operation of one of the world’s most prestigious links venues.
The successful candidate will carry out a wide range of general maintenance tasks and will be comfortable working independently, managing their own workload, and responding to day-to-day operational needs.
This role will suit someone who takes pride in their work, has a hands-on approach, and enjoys working in a varied environment.
Key Responsibilities
- General Maintenance: Carry out routine maintenance, minor repairs, and upkeep of clubhouse facilities, outbuildings, and surrounding areas.
- Repairs: Address basic plumbing, electrical work, joinery, painting, and general repair tasks as required.
- Inspections: Conduct regular checks of facilities to identify and resolve maintenance issues proactively.
- Health & Safety: Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety standards.
- Support Operations: Assist other departments with set-ups, small projects, and ad hoc maintenance needs. Regular routine checks and record keeping.
- Arrange work and communication with external contractors.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Practical experience in general maintenance or a similar role
- Basic knowledge of trades such as, electrics, plumbing, joinery, and painting
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach
- Good communication skills
- Understanding of health and safety practices
Working Pattern
· The role would involve working 3 to 4 days per week, totalling between 24 and 30 hours.
