Women’s Head Football Coach
At UA92, we’re deliberately different.
Co-founded by the Class of ’92 and Lancaster University, we’re here to make higher education more accessible, more inclusive and more connected to the world beyond university. We believe talent is everywhere, but opportunity isn’t – and we want to change that.
Sport is a big part of who we are. It brings people together, builds confidence and creates experiences that stay with students long after they leave us.
We’re now looking for a Women’s Head Coach to lead our Women’s Football and Futsal Club and help us continue to grow women’s sport at UA92.
The Role
This is a hands-on coaching role for someone who wants to make a real difference to the student experience.
You’ll lead our BUCS women’s football team, delivering engaging Monday evening training sessions and taking responsibility for Wednesday fixtures. You’ll also support the development of our futsal offer, including Saturday round-robin events.
It’s about more than results on the pitch. You’ll create an environment where players feel welcome, supported and able to develop, whether they’re joining university sport for the first time or looking to take their performance to the next level.
You’ll work closely with our Football and Futsal Development Officer to grow participation, recruit and retain players and build a strong, positive culture around the club.
What You’ll Bring
You’ll need a minimum UEFA C Coaching Licence, alongside up-to-date First Aid and Safeguarding qualifications, or a willingness to obtain these.
You’ll be confident leading a team, planning and delivering quality coaching sessions and managing the demands of matchdays.
Experience within women’s football is desirable, as is experience of futsal, BUCS competition or working within higher education.
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who is organised, inclusive and player-focused. Someone who cares about developing people as much as developing performance, champions women’s sport and understands the importance of safeguarding and wellbeing.
