Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Administrator / Paralegal to join our Private Client team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively, providing essential support to our fee earners in Private Client matters. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our legal processes run smoothly and efficiently and we deliver an outstanding and empathetic service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Care & File Management:
- Advise, assist, and represent clients both on the telephone and in person while maintaining high standards of client care.
- Manage and organise client files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and accurate.
- Legal Support:
- Draft legal documents such as wills, probate applications, lasting powers of attorney and other legal documents.
- Prepare attendance notes, documents, and deeds from dictation completed by Fee Earners.
- Administrative Duties:
- Handle general file administration and organisation both electronically and paper based.
- Liaise with clients, external organisations, and colleagues.
- Prepare bills and manage financial records.
- Provide general administrative office support
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with professional standards and regulations.
- Follow all internal policies and procedures.
- Communication:
- Excellent communication skills dealing with clients, other government departments and colleagues
Skills and Attributes:
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using IT systems and legal software, experience of LEAP an advantage.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- A positive can do attitude and problem solving skills
Additional Duties:
- Attend and participate in departmental and firm-wide meetings.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and case law
- Engage in continuous professional development.

This is a part time position 3 days per week 21 hours.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.71 per hour
