On behalf of AWE, we are looking for a Customer Contracts Assistant (Inside IR35) for a 12 month contract, based hybrid in Reading. This role requires an Active SC clearance.

Role:
Working within a highly regulated environment, you will support the full contract lifecycle, including bid and proposal development, contract administration, stakeholder management, governance, compliance, contract changes, and performance reporting. This role offers excellent exposure to customer relationship management and commercial contract management within the Defence and Government sector.
As a Customer Contracts Assistant, your main responsibilities will be to:
- Support the management and administration of customer contracts from bid through to contract close-out.
- Assist with proposal development, costing, pricing, and tender activities.
- Draft, review, and process contractual documentation, including amendments, NDAs, and change requests.
- Maintain contract records and workflows within Oracle Fusion and other business systems.
- Produce and analyse contract performance, compliance, and financial data reports.
- Support governance, approvals, and contractual compliance activities.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, Government customers, and industry partners.
- Identify and escalate contractual risks, issues, and opportunities.
- Support dispute resolution, change control, and contract performance reviews.
- Ensure all activities comply with AWE policies, delegated authority, and regulatory requirements.
Essential:
- Experience supporting customer-facing commercial contracts throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Experience working with stakeholders and building effective business relationships.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Commercial awareness with a good understanding of governance and compliance processes.
- Proficient with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
Desirable:
- Experience using Oracle Fusion.
- Public Sector, MOD, Defence, Government, or regulated industry experience.
