- HGV Technician – £19.00 to £22.00 per hour (£41,610 – £48,180 per annum)
- Night Shift HGV Technician – £23.00 to £24.00 per hour (£45,000 – £50,000 per annum)
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicle dealership in Billingham for experienced Commercial Vehicle Technicians to join their busy and professional workshop team.

Available Shift Patterns
LCV Technician & HGV Technician
- 4 On 4 Off Shift Pattern
- 12-Hour Shifts
Night Shift HGV Technician
- Permanent Night Shift
- Week 1 & 2: Monday to Thursday
- Week 3 & 4: Tuesday to Friday
The Role
As a Commercial Vehicle Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on commercial vehicles
- Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
- Completing vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance work
- Preparing vehicles for MOT and ensuring compliance with DVSA standards
- Maintaining accurate job cards, workshop records and documentation
- Working efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime
- Ensuring all work is completed to manufacturer standards
- Working independently and as part of a professional workshop team
Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (Light Vehicle or Heavy Vehicle equivalent)
- Previous experience as an LCV Technician, Van Technician, HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Full UK driving licence
- HGV licence advantageous but not essential for HGV positions
