The Role
Electric Bear Brewing Company are currently recruiting for a new Brewer.
This full-time position is a crucial role within the brewery production team and will involve all aspects of brewing, packaging and cellaring. Working alongside the rest of the production team, the successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the highest levels of Quality Control and meeting the production targets throughout the whole process from brewing and fermentation through to packaging products.
Key Responsibilities
- Brewing a range of beer styles on our 40HL brew kit
- Create new recipes alongside the head brewer
- Data entry into brewing software
- Packaging beers into can, cask and keg
- Monitoring and recording fermentation of beers in tank
- Dry hopping beers
- Cask cleaning, cleaning tanks and product lines
- Stock rotation and management
- Occasionally preparing delivery runs and building pallets
- Occasionally representing the brewery at events when required
Skills & Experience required
- Passionate about the craft beer industry
- At least 2 years’ experience in a brewery
- Ability to work independently and within a team to deliver brewing team KPIs
- Positive and committed attitude to work
- Capable of physical work
- Excellent time management with the ability to multi-task, prioritise and plan effectively
- Be living within daily commutable distance of Bath (BA1 postcode)
Salary, Benefits, and Working Hours
- Salary in the range £28,000 to £30,000 per annum dependent on experience
- 40-hour week, core working hours 7am to 3pm, Monday to Friday. However, some later finishes and weekend work are occasionally required and either paid in overtime or time off in lieu
- 20 days holiday (plus 8 bank holidays) per year increasing by 1 extra day for every full year’s service, capped at 25 days after 5 years
