Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our dynamic finance team for a 6 month period. In this vital role, you will support the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing transactions, maintaining records, and assisting with financial reporting. Your enthusiasm and precision will contribute to the smooth functioning of our financial processes, helping us achieve our organizational goals with integrity and transparency.
This role would suit an AAT student or graduate looking for more experience in an accounts team.
Responsibilities
- Assist in processing invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders promptly and accurately.
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation in compliance with company policies.
- Support the preparation of financial reports by gathering relevant data and ensuring data integrity.
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently to uphold financial accuracy.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of financial tasks and audits.
- Help monitor budgets and track expenditures to support financial planning efforts.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance department to enhance workflow efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate across teams.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Previous experience in an administrative or finance support role is preferred but not required.
- A degree in finance, accounting, or related fields is advantageous as is AAT.
Pay: Up to £26,000.00 per year
