Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team, providing essential support and companionship to individuals. Responsibilities
- Support clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming while respecting their dignity and privacy
- Assist with mobility and transfer activities, ensuring safety at all times
- Help clients with meals, promoting healthy eating habits.
- Follow individual care plans meticulously to meet each person's specific needs and preferences
- Document care activities accurately using IT systems and update records regularly
- Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance clients’ quality of life
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a care home is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided.
- Experience with Dementia and complex needs is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members
- Basic IT literacy for maintaining accurate records and following care plans digitally
- Ability to work flexibly across various shifts including days, evenings, or weekends as needed
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures within care settings
- Compassionate attitude with excellent interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with clients
Own transport is essential for this role, due to rural setting with no public transport links.
