Role Overview
We are seeking a capable and motivated Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of engineering projects from initial planning through to completion. The successful candidate will coordinate technical activities, manage project documentation, support schedules and budgets, and work closely with internal teams, suppliers and customers to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Plan, coordinate and monitor assigned engineering projects to ensure delivery against scope, schedule, budget and quality requirements.
· Act as a key technical point of contact between project teams, engineering, production, procurement, suppliers and customers.
· Prepare and maintain project plans, technical documentation, risk registers, action trackers and progress reports.
· Support design reviews, technical investigations, process improvements and problem-solving activities.
· Identify project risks, issues and constraints, escalating where appropriate and supporting the implementation of effective mitigation actions.
· Ensure project activities comply with relevant engineering standards, health and safety requirements, quality processes and customer expectations.
· Monitor project milestones and provide clear progress updates to stakeholders.
· Support the introduction of new products, processes or equipment where required.
Skills and Experience Required
· Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (5+ Years of experience within an Aerospace Manufacturing Environment Considered).
· Previous experience in a project engineering, manufacturing engineering, design engineering or technical project role.
· Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities across multiple workstreams.
· Confident communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with colleagues, suppliers and customers.
· Good technical understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, manufacturing processes or product development activities.
· Experience using Microsoft Office applications; knowledge of project planning tools such as Microsoft Project & Excel would be advantageous.
· Practical problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Desirable Attributes
· Experience within a regulated engineering, aerospace, automotive, manufacturing or industrial environment.
· Understanding of project lifecycle management, APQP, PPAP, Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
· Commercial awareness and experience supporting budget, cost or resource tracking.
· Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a cross-functional team environment.
· Ability to communicate effectively with a wide audience and build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders from all environments & backgrounds.

Monday- Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm
Friday 7:30am-12:30pm

Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
