Job Title: Change Manager – Labs Digitalisation & RED Programmes
Location: Hemel Hempstead: Hybrid, minimum 2 days per week on-site
About the role
BSI is looking for an experienced Change Manager to play a key role in delivering two major transformation programmes across our Labs business.
You’ll primarily support the Labs Digitalisation Programme, leading change activity around the implementation of LIMS and Simulated Testing, while also supporting the RED Labs Programme and the transition to a new facility supporting the Radio Equipment Directive.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with lab and technical teams to prepare them for new systems, processes and ways of working. Building strong relationships and maintaining a visible presence with the teams will be key, so you’ll be based in our Hemel Hempstead office a minimum of two days per week to support workshops, stakeholder sessions and on-site engagement.
Responsibilities
Develop and deliver the change management strategy and plan for the LIMS and Simulated Testing deployment.
Support change activity for the RED Labs Programme, including people, process and ways-of-working impacts.
Conduct stakeholder mapping, change impact assessments and readiness activities across Lab functions.
Build strong relationships with Lab Managers, Engineers, Quality, Logistics, Health & Safety and other technical stakeholders.
Lead workshops, drop-ins, floor talks, lunch & learns and other engagement activities.
Identify and manage change resistance and readiness risks.
Lead training needs analysis and develop practical training materials and role-based resources.
Partner with the Product Owner and LabVantage vendor to support end-user training and adoption.
Coordinate change communications, FAQs and go-live messaging across affected teams.
Ensure Quality Assurance and operational requirements are considered throughout change planning.
Track and report change readiness and adoption, providing insights to Programme Leads and key stakeholders.
Act as a key link between the programme and lab teams, ensuring frontline feedback is understood and incorporated into delivery.
To be successful in the role you will have
Proven experience delivering business change within complex transformation programmes.
A formal Change Management qualification such as Prosci ADKAR, APMG Change Management Practitioner or equivalent.
Experience supporting a LIMS, ERP or other complex enterprise system implementation.
Strong stakeholder management, communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage both senior stakeholders and frontline teams.
Experience developing and delivering change communications, training and adoption activities.
Experience within a laboratory, manufacturing, regulated or similarly complex operational environment would be beneficial.
A technical or scientific background/experience would be a significant advantage, such as laboratory sciences, engineering or another regulated technical environment, enabling you to engage credibly with scientific and technical teams.
Exposure to ISO 17025 would be advantageous.
BSI offers a competitive total reward package, an independent and varied job in an international environment, flexible working hours, ongoing training and development with the inclusion of 27-days annual leave, paid sick leave, bank holidays, health insurance, life insurance, pension plan with company contribution, car allowance (dependent on role), income protection, paid maternity leave, paid paternity leave, paid parental leave, adoption leave, compassionate leave, paid bereavement leave, learning and development opportunities, and a wide range of flexible benefits that you can tailor to suit your lifestyle.
