Veneerer / Veneering Specialist - Super Prime Bespoke Joinery
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Veneerer / Veneering Specialist to join our high-end woodworking team. This role offers the opportunity to work on premium bespoke furniture, cabinetry, and joinery projects, applying fine veneers with precision and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities
- Select, match, cut, and prepare veneers to achieve seamless grain patterns and high-end aesthetic results
- Prepare substrates and apply veneers using appropriate adhesives, presses, and techniques to ensure strong, durable bonds
- Trim, sand, and finish veneered surfaces to the highest standard of quality and appearance
- Work from detailed drawings and specifications, maintaining accuracy and consistency throughout each project
- Operate relevant machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently (including presses, saws, sanders, and specialised veneering equipment)
- Conduct thorough quality checks at every stage to ensure perfect fit, finish, and longevity
- Collaborate with the wider joinery team and support related workshop or site tasks when required
- Handle materials carefully and maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in veneering for furniture, cabinetry, or high-quality joinery
- Strong knowledge of veneer types, matching techniques (book-match, slip-match, etc.), adhesives, and application methods
- Skilled use of hand tools and power tools relevant to veneering and finishing
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and work to tight tolerances
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on achieving a premium, defect-free finish
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Experience in related woodworking or cabinet-making is highly advantageous
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in a busy workshop environment
